Obituary of Kenneth James O'Brien Edwards
Kenneth James O’Brien Edwards, age 46, died Thursday, June 14, 2012. He was born in Binghamton, New York on September 9, 1965 son of James R. Edwards and Malvina (Edwards) DeVeau-Randall . Ken attended Chenango Valley High School, Binghamton, New York. Ken was a loving and devoted father, son, brother, uncle and friend. He was very generous with his time and found fulfillment in helping others. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Ken loved Nascar Racing, his work, four wheeling with his son Ben, and boating. He was a self-employed contractor with amazing work ethic and love of his job. With Kens passing he provided many organ recipients with the gift of life.
Ken was pre-deceased by his sister : Theresa C. (Edwards) Smith; maternal grandfather, Kenneth C. DeVeau and his paternal grandparents, Calvin DeVern Edwards and Ellen Edwards.
He is survived by: father, James R. Edwards and his wife Beverly of Binghamton, NY; son, Benjamin N. Edwards of Hallowell, ME and his mother Mary (Edwards) Fortier, two step-daughters: Ally and Lexie Moran; mother, Malvina M. Deveau-Randall and her husband David of Augusta, ME; maternal grandmother, Terri Deveau of Augusta, ME; one brother, Calvin D. Edwards and his wife Deborah of Johnson City, NY; two sisters: Linda C. Pulsifer and her husband Barry Pulsifer of Hallowell, ME; and Cindi J. Szymaniak of Binghamton, NY; as well as many cherished aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
In Lieu of flowers an Educational/Memorial Fund has been set up for Kens son, Benjamin N. Edwards, donations may be made in Kens memory at any Key Bank Corp.
