LAWRENCE “TED” BARTLETT, 75, passed away August 9, 2012 at his residence in Monroe. He was born in Stamford, Connecticut on January 28, 1937, the son of Lawrence and Clare (Eaton) Bartlett. He was a US Navy veteran and a life member of the NRA. Ted enjoyed hunting and was an avid ham radio operator who ran the first computer program for the Waldo County Sheriff’s office. He was the deputy director for EMA of Waldo County and a member of the Monroe Volunteer Fire Department. He was predeceased by his parents. Ted is survived by his wife of 52 years, Hope (Bolles) Bartlett; his children Dale Binan and her husband, Ande of Winterport, Lynn Warren and her husband Greg of Freedom, Bill Bartlett and his significant other Karen of New Jersey, Tom Bartlett and his wife Alison of Glenburn; five grandsons. A celebration of Ted’s life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 18th at Monroe Community Church. Arrangements under the care of Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast.
