Obituary of Pamela North Gerrish

Pamela North Gerrish, NP Pamela North Gerrish, 68, died Saturday, August 18, 2012. She was born May 3, 1944, the daughter of Robinson R. and Charlotte Cooper North. Pam Attended Crosby High School and she received her RN from St. Joseph School of Nursing and her Nurse Practitioner Degree from LaRoche University in Pittsburg, PA. She has a long and distinguished career at Waldo County General Hospital as both a Registered Nurse and a Nurse Practitioner. Pam was dedicated to caring for the people of Waldo County, and she was even known to accept fresh eggs for payment of service. As an active and long standing Board member of Broadreach Family and Community Services she extended her commitment to Waldo County. She is survived by a sister, Sarah North Zeiss; a brother, Robinson North; a son, Robert Gerrish and his wife Cathy of Freedom; a daughter, Lisha Brett and her husband Michael of Belfast; and grandchildren, Bradley Ginn and Cassidy Gerrish. Services will be held at 2 pm Saturday, August 25, 2012 at the First Church of Belfast, 8 Court Street, Belfast, ME. Gifts in her memory may be made to the Waldo County General Hospital Scholarship Program for Nursing, 118 Northport Ave., Belfast, ME 04915.
