Obituary of Owen Thomas Krause
OWEN THOMAS KRAUSE, 16, of Stockton Springs, went to be with our Lord on September 19, 2012. He was born on November 10, 1995 in Blue Hill, Maine. Owen was a native Mainer who attended elementary school at Stockton Springs, middle school in Searsport and was currently attending John Bapst in Bangor. He was an honor student who attained high honors several times. Owen boxed with Wyman’s Boxing Club in Stockton Springs and earned the nickname “Big Guns” from his coach, Skeet Wyman. Owen was also an avid skateboarder. He was a member and janitor at Stockton Springs Community Church as well as part of the cross country team at John Bapst. Owen loved animals, especially his cat, Tiger. He was commonly thought of as “the cat whisperer” by his family because of several cat rescues. Another of Owen’s passions was cars, specifically classics. He mowed lawns in the summer and saved money to purchase his car, and at 16 was proud to have already been the owner of two Lincolns. Owen’s clever, creative nature and taste in fine footwear will be a fond memory for those who knew and loved him. He will be remembered by all who knew him for his positive outlook and kind spirit.
Owen is survived by his loving parents, Christopher and Cheryl (Stephens) Krause; his siblings, Alison A. Krause of Somerville, Massachusetts, Oliver J. Krause of Stockton Springs; his maternal grandparents, Roger and Judy Stephens of Platteville, Wisconsin; his paternal grandmother, Charlotte Krause of LaCrosse, Wisconsin; his aunts and uncles, Beth and John McWilliams, Patty and Jim Steil, and Richard and Pat Krause, all of Wisconsin; his cousins, Paul, Mary, Ellyn, Cate, Jack, Alex, Thomas, and Olivia and many friends.
