Obituary of Harold Kippy Young

HAROLD "Kippy" C. YOUNG, 72, died May 13, 2013 at his residence in Clinton. He was born October 9, 1940 in Alton, Maine, the son of Harold M. and Harriet E. (Kealiher) Young. He worked for many years as a technician for NCR Corporation. He enjoyed woodworking and liked to hunt, fish and work on his antique '67 Charger. One of his favorite things was spending time at camp with his family. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary (Pollard) Young of Clinton; his son Scott Young and wife Bobbi of Bangor, a son Michael Young and his wife Patty of Presque Isle, three daughters, Kimberly and her husband Kurt Caswell of Waterville, Bethany and her husband Howard Nelson of Waterville, Tracie Young and her partner Ernie Tyler of Oakland; his brother Lester Young of Brewer; his sisters, Wanda McKenna of Skowhegan, Devon Storman of Orono, Kathy Akoa of Machias; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. There will be a celebration of Harold's life at the Elk's Lodge, 37 Fourth St. Old Town, ME, on June 2, 2013 from 12 to 3pm. Friends may make donations to Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America, Inc. 355 Lexington Avenue, 15th Floor, New York, NY 10017 or American Diabetes Association, On-line condolences may be offered to the family at www.directcremationofmaine.com.
