Marilyn Richards Obituary
MARILYN G. RICHARDS, 66, passed away May 19, 2013 in Belfast. She was born in Belfast February 10, 1947, a daughter of Leon and Velma (Sterns) Richards. She loved her home at Tall Pines and giving away her artwork to staff and friends as gifts. She attended Belfast Industries workshop which she took great pleasure in. Marilyn loved to joke and tease her Tall Pines “family”. She attended church with her mother on Cape Jellison for many years.
She is predeceased by both parents and a brother Dennis M. Richards. Marilyn is survived by two sisters, Nancy Ashey and fiancé Donald Greenlaw of Searsport and Sally Shorey and husband Albert of Penobscot; six nieces and nephews; special friend Margene Annis and many other past and present caregivers and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, May 23rd at Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast. Those who wish may make donations in Marilyn’s memory to Belfast Industries, 17 Airport Road, Belfast, ME 04915. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.ripostafh.com.
