Obituary of Cecile Theriault Daigle

FORT KENT - Fort Kent - Cecile (Theriault) Daigle, 86, died peacefully June 7, 2013 at her residence in Fort Kent. She was born April 14, 1927, in Fort Kent, the daughter of Paul and Demerise (Pelletier) Theriault. Cecile worked for University of Maine, Fort Kent, for 20 years until her retirement in 1992. She was a past member of the Ladies Auxiliary Post No. 9609 and Catholic Order of Foresters, both of Fort Kent. She enjoyed doing crosswords, knitting and tending to her plants and flowers. Most importantly her love for her family. She will be deeply missed. She is survived by her six children, Daniel and his wife, Carol Daigle, of Concord, Ohio, James Daigle of Erie, Pa., Rose Daigle of Augusta, Marilyn Daigle of Caribou, Cecilia Daigle of Fort Kent, John and his wife, Cindy, of Warrenton, Va.; 10 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one special niece, Joan Levesque of Newport, Conn.; two brothers, Raymond Theriault of Geneva, Ohio, Paul Emile Theriault of Bristol, Conn. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Quentin Daigle in 1992; two brothers and two sisters. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11:30 a.m. Friday, June 14, at St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent. Committal services will be in the parish cemetery.
