Obituary of Jane Marie Hannan

Rockland — Jane Marie Royer Hannan, beloved wife of Roger B. Hannan, died June 11, 2013 after a long, courageous battle with lung cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family and her cat Onslo. Born and raised in Warren, May 26, 1945, she was the daughter of Rowley E. and Marie Marr Royer. She loved gardening and her family. She always made holidays special for her children and grandchildren. She worked at Shore Village Nursing Home as a cook for a time. She was also a PSS for the Homesteads. She was predeceased by her parents, younger sister Winona Royer Robinson and brother-in-law Donald Simmons. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, their son Keith Royer of Rockland; daughters, Yvettte Tarbox and her husband Harold of Cushing, Yvonne Reed and her husband Charles of Waldoboro, Gisele Tyler and her husband Wayne of Spruce Head; her grandchildren, Charles Reed and his wife Kelli of South Carolina, Jennifer Grady and her husband Jeremy of Lisbon Falls, Derek Reed and his wife Wendi of Waldoboro, Ryan Royer of Rockland, Jane Young and her husband John of Cushing, Deven Royer of Rockland, Harold Tarbox III of Cushing, Kaitlin Tyler of Spruce Head, Ashlea Tyler of Spruce Head, Winona Tarbox of Cushing, Ivory Tyler of Spruce Head; sister, Shirley Simmons of Cushing; brothers, Richard Royer and his wife Barbara of Rockland, Peter Royer of Manchester, Conn., Kenneth Royer and wife Junitell of Lampasas, Texas, Bruce Royer of Rockland; brother-in-law, Stanley Robinson of Lincolnville; several great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A private family celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
