EMILE D. CLOUTIER, 100 of Skowhegan, most recently residing in Captain Lewis Assisted Living Facility of Farmingdale, died August 15, 2013. Emile was born November 9, 1912 in Smithfield, Maine, the only child of Trefle and Belle(Wentworth) Cloutier. Emile attended Skowhegan schools graduating from Skowhegan High School in 1930. After graduation, Emile’s parents purchased a farm on the Waterville Road in Skowhegan where Emile became a dairy farmer and farmed for 50 years. After retirement from farming, Emile bought property in Zephyrhills, Florida where he spent his winters. He owned an RV and enjoyed taking trips throughout our great country. When not on a trip, he enjoyed just “sitting and watching the world go by”. In 2003, Emile returned to Maine and until the present, spent many enjoyable hours at the Captain Lewis Assisted Living Facility where he would overlook the Kennebec River from the gracious living room or the comfortable front porch with other members of the facility. Emile is survived by first cousin, Lawrence J. Cloutier and wife Margaret who reside at Randolph as well as many distant cousins. Emile will be buried in the family lot at Southside Cemetery in Skowhegan.
