DEER ISLE — Norma (Billings) Snowden, 83, passed away peacefully Aug. 22, 2013, at the Island Nursing Home and Care Center. She was born Dec. 13, 1929, the daughter of Frederick and Myrtle (Eaton) Billings. Surviving are her son, Stephen and his companion, Anne Page, of Deer Isle; daughter, Deana Gendron of Chelmsford, Mass.; daughter Kelli Willard and her husband, Richard, of Lamoine; beloved grandsons Brent and Brian Snowden, Jamie and Shane Gendron, and Casey and Logan Willard; sisters, Myrtle Brown of Ellsworth and Miriam Widdecombe of Rockland; several great-grandchildren; a great-great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews. Norma was predeceased by her most beloved husband, Wilbur; brothers, Clyde Brown and Dexter Billings; sisters, Teresa Stachelek and Chestina Bonacorso; and special son-in-law, Alan Gendron. At Norma’s request, there will be no visiting hours. A private committal service will be held at a later date.
