Obituary of Joan M Clark
JOAN M. (MITCHELL) CLARK, 88 of Belfast, passed away on September 24, 2013 in Belfast. She was born on December 24, 1924 in Dewsbury, England, the daughter of Robert and Amy (Fozzard) Mitchell. Joan immigrated to Maine by herself after World War II from England. She was a member of the First Church in Belfast.
She is predeceased by her parents; her husband Frank L. Clark Sr.; a son Joel Clark and step-son Frank L. Clark Jr.; siblings, Robert and Ronald Mitchell and Kathleen Mitchell Bell. Joan is survived by her children, Steven Clark of Stockton Springs and Patricia Blake of Troy; her brother Tom Mitchell of Dewsbury, England, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. Private burial will be held at Corey Cemetery in Lubec. Those who wish may make memorial contributions in Joan’s memory to Hospice Volunteers of Waldo County, PO Box 772, Belfast, ME 04915.
