ROLAND BOYD STIMPSON, 84, passed away November 20, 2013 at Pen Bay Medical Center in Rockport. He was born August 1, 1929. Roland lobstered for many years and owned his own canvas business. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was a member of the Elks, the Legion and Cushing Historical Society. Roland was predeceased by his wife Barbara K. Stimpson. Survivors include his children, Steve Stimpson of Cushing, Pam Kurtz of Lakeland, CO; grandchildren Stephenie, Heather, Dustin and Shane. Graveside services will be held in the spring. Memorial donations may be made to Cushing Ambulance Association.
