Obituary of Eleanore Mae Sanborn

Eleanore May Sanborn passed away peacefully at home December 21, 2013. She had told her family she did not want to leave those she loved but she did look forward to Heaven and being with her husband Donald L. Sanborn and her son Garry A Sanborn who preceded her. Eleanore was born in Boston Massachusetts on May 22, 1927. She spent her childhood in the Belfast area and all the rest of her life in Thomaston. Surviving are her daughters Cynthia Reed and husband Mark of Friendship, Donnalee Talbot and husband David of Thomaston, Christine D Crouch and husband John of Clemmens, NC, Jacalyn D Sanborn of Thomaston and Sharon Sanborn Walsh of Thomaston. She also leaves a daughter in law Penny Dostie of Warren and a dear sister in law Marian Sanborn of Thomaston, sixteen grandchildren and twenty two great-grandchildren are also left to miss her. Despite the size of her family she knew each by name and loved and prayed for each faithfully. Many nieces and nephews also remain. Eleanore spent her life working to care for her family and spreading the word of Gods love and salvation to all she met. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be sent to Kno-Wal-Lin Hospice 170 Pleasant St Rockland, ME 04841 A graveside memorial and committal service will take place in the spring at the Village Cemetery of Thomaston.
