Obituary of James R. Smith

James (Jim) R. Smith of Otis, ME died suddenly on Thursday, January 23, 2014. Jim is survived by his wife, Meg; their sons Greg and wife Deborah and Andy and wife Kayla; their daughters, Jessica and husband Rich, and Tori and husband Mike; his six grandchildren; his brothers David and wife Vicki and Hank and wife Molly; as well as a beloved sister-in-law, Marty. Jim was well known and respected for his knowledge and expertise in firearms and worked at Willey's Gun Shop, as well as Van Raymond's Sporting Goods and Dick's Sporting Goods. He was retired military, a consummate patriot and had a ready smile and a quirky sense of humor making him memorable to the community. He will be missed. Memorial services will be announced at a later date.
