Obituary of Preston A. Cook

PRESTON A. COOK, 64, went to be with the Lord on May 16, 2014 at EMMC in Bangor. He was born November 26, 1949 to Caroline and Melvin Cook of Brooks. He was predeceased by his father, Melvin Cook and sister Constance Colby. For many years he worked in the woods. He is survived by his son, Patrick Cook and wife Jennifer of Swanville; four grandsons, Charles Haskins of Brooks, Dale Haskins and Eric Blanchette of Swanville, Darrin Cook of Montville; a great grandson Jaxson Haskins of Newport; grandmother Thelma Limers, mother Caroline Cook both of Brooks; three brothers Melvin “Sonny” Cook and wife Allison of Virginia; Steve Pelletier and wife Regina of Tennessee and Terry Cook and wife Tammy of Swanville; two sisters Maryanne Brown of Swanville and Linda Bennett of Waldo; many nieces and nephews as well as special friend Peggy Mahau. Preston will be missed by all who had the chance to know and love him. A celebration of Preston’s life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast. Services to be held at a later date.
