Obituary of Mary J Smith

Mary J. Smith, 72, of Morrill passed away at Tall Pines Healthcare facility on Tuesday June 17, 2014. She was born May 9, 1942 in Belfast the daughter of the late Ivan and Frances (Weymouth) Thompson. Mary enjoyed organic gardening, quilting, reading, jewelry making, crafts, and Native American history. She loved the outdoors, being in nature and bird watching from her back porch. She was very proud of her Scottish heritage. Mary was a member of the Greene Plantation Historical Society and Abundant Grace Ministry. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Leigh Chipman Smith of Milbridge. Mary is survived by her children: Karen Fuller of Swanville, Dennis Fuller and his wife Claire of Morrill, Carrie White and her companion Ray St. Onge of Searsmont, grandchildren: Mark White, Kyle White, Erin Fuller, and Daniel Fuller, great grandchild Ryker White, siblings: Nancy Hanson and her husband Steve of New Gloucester, and Rita Littlefield of Morrill. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and friends. A private service for family and close friends was held at the home of Dennis and Claire Fuller in Morrill on June 20 at 12:30 p.m. followed by a graveside service at Morrill Village Cemetery with Pastor Peter Sheff.
