Obituary of Leland Brooks

Leland M Brooks Sr, 79 died peacefully with his family by his side after a long battle with Cardiac disease on June 29th 2014. He was born on May 29th 1935 in Pittsfield one of seven children to Alfred and Ina Brooks. He was employed at Ethan Allen in Burnham for 30 years until they closed. He liked to hunt, fish, garden, cook and canning fresh vegetables to give out as gifts, most recent hobby was watching the cooking channel and trying new recipes. He is survived by his wife Mickey of 24 years, his children Leland Jr and wife Debbie, Kelvin and Significant other Andrea, Gwen and husband Bill. His step children Scott and wife Brenda, Stephen and wife Vanessa, as well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He is survived by his brother Bob and wife Lois, sister Ginny and husband Donald. He was predeceased by his parents and four sisters Gloria, Muriel, Carolyn, Shirley and stepson Craig. A special thank-you to Faye and Randy for always being there throughout the years as well as Maine General Hospice, especially Hollie, Michelle and Nicole.
