Obituary of Tolford Tad Durham

Tolford “Tad” Durham of Belfast passed away August 28, 2014 in Belfast. He was born in Danbury Connecticut June 30, 1934 a son of the late James Tolford and Beatrice Evelyn (Archibald) Durham. Tad graduated from high school in Goffstown, NH and went on to Hesser College where he received an Associate’s degree in Business Science. Tad also served in the U.S. Air Force serving in Korea and also in the U.S. Army stationed in Germany. After serving in the military he worked as a security guard in New Hampshire before retiring to Maine where he volunteer as a driver for Waldo County Transportation. He often would drive 1,000 hours weekly. Tad is survived by his three children: Tolford “Tot” Durham and wife Cathy of NH, Frank Durham and wife Carol of MH and Kevin Durham and wife Heather of UT, his sister Jo Durham Huff of Belfast, 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends may attend a time a of Visitation from 2-4 pm Friday September 5, 2014 at Riposta Funeral Home 182 Waldo Ave. Belfast, ME A Graveside Service will be held 11 am Saturday September 6, 2014 at Grove Cemetery, Belfast.
