Obituary of Helen Levesque

Helen Levesque, 78 of Merrill Hill, died September 23, 2014 in Houlton. He was born April 26, 1936 in Gallup, New Mexico, daughter of Dan and Dorothy (Anaya) Garcia Sr. She worked several jobs throughout her community. Helen enjoyed knitting, crocheting and other handcrafts as well as reading and puzzles. She loved butterflies, roses and traveling, especially to Bermuda and California. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Russell “Rusty”, Daniel Jr., Chris, Patrick and her son Peter Lira Jr. Helen is survived by her daughters, Vicky and Frank Bryant of Augusta, Dee and Larry Dickinson of Oakfield, Michelle and Howard Pitcher of St. Davids, Bermuda; grandchildren David McDowell and his wife Lisa, Jake Dickinson, Tonya Dickinson; great-grandchildren Brad Hewey and wife Sam, Jennifer Hewey and her fiancé Tommy Digby; brothers Gilbert Garcia and wife Alice of San Jose, California, Gene Garcia and wife Carmen of Grover Beach, California; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many special friends. A celebration of life will be held at Larry and Dee Dickinson’s home at 3511 Route 2, Merrill Hill on Saturday, September 27th from 2-6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Helen’s memory to Houlton Humane Society, PO Box 548, Houlton, ME 04730 or Hoppity Haven Rabbit Rescue, 11 West Street, Houlton, ME. 04730.
