Obituary of Frederica Rhinelander Brown Lincoln

Frederica Rhinelander Brown Lincoln, 91, of Wiscasset, died peacefully December 15, 2014. Frederica was born November 26, 1923 and she was raised in New York City. She graduated from Dalton School in NYC, and she summered in Maine and attended Alford Lake Camp as a child. Frederica met and married J. Kenneth Lincoln Sr, and in 1941 she moved to Wiscasset. Frederica was married to J. Kenneth Lincoln Sr for 26 years. She worked at BIW for the remainder of WWII. She also worked as a reporter for the Kennebec Journal, and she worked in a variety of businesses doing bookkeeping positions until her retirement. She enjoyed her children and grandchildren and her many hobbies of gardening, cooking, needlepoint, knitting, and her pets. Frederica was predeceased by her siblings, Tilden Hazard Brown, Laura Montant, and Natalie Lawrence. She is survived by her three children, J.Kenneth Lincoln Jr, wife Kathleen, from Vero Beach, FL and Wiscasset, and their son, Nathan and wife, Katie from Pooler, GA, Emelyn Lincoln Kappler, husband, Harry, from Winchester, VA and Boothbay, and their two sons, Harrison and Emerson, and George Street Lincoln III, wife Patricia, from Camden, and their four children, Caleb, Tilden, Eleanor, and Josephine. A celebration of life will be announced in the summer. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Frederica's memory may be made to Hodgdon Green in Damariscotta or Hospice of Lincoln County.
