Obituary of Gerald N. Bubar

Gerald N Bubar, 69, of Belfast passed away May 18 in Searsport at the home of his companion and dear friend Sylvia Dakin. Jerry was born in Jonesport, Maine August 18, 1945 son to Winona Faulkingham and Arden Bubar. In Jonesport, he attended school and met and married Susan (Dobbins) Bubar. As a young couple they moved to Belfast to build a home and raise a family. This is where they developed many close friendships and created many happy memories. As young man, Jerry spent several years in the U.S. Navy, worked on the tugboats and also at Maplewood plant in Belfast. He spent the majority of his work life as a maintenance technician for the Journal Press in Northport, Maine. Jerry enjoyed and loved everything outside -- particularly boating, hunting and "tinkering". Jerry loved traveling and treasured his trips to Mexico with his beloved wife, Susan.　 Great love and happiness for Jerry was found in the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. Jerry will be missed every day. We will never forget the love and the laughter. He is predeceased by his parents and his wife Susan Bubar. Jerry is survived by his daughters Nancy Bubar, Roxanne Marshall and Melinda Bubar, his grandchildren Christopher, Joseph, and Emily Marshall and Bridget and Jillian Fehrs.
