Obituary of Leonard Charles Holder

Leonard Charles Holder, 73, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2015 surrounded by his family at his home in Hancock, Maine. He was born October 13, 1941 in Birmingham, England, the son of Leonard and Frances Evelyn (Lee) Holder. Leonard will always be loved and forever missed. He will be surrounded by love both in Heaven and Earth. Leonard was a man of many talents and interests. He was a master in the field of Engineering in Class A Precision Tool and Die Making. His trade brought him, with his family, across the Atlantic from his native England to reside in the United States in Massachusetts. He was an avid traveler who loved to travel both near and far, exotic and local. One of his greatest passions in life was sharing with those around him how proud he was of his family and often you would find him pulling out photographs of his beloved children, grandchildren, and especially great-grandsons to show anyone who was willing to look. After his retirement from his field of Engineering, he relocated to Florida to spend more time with family and enjoying the beautiful sunshine that he loved so much, though when great-grandchildren became part of the picture he decided it was time to relocate once more to the north to spend time with them. Leonard is survived by his loving wife Jeane Ann (Richards) Holder of Hancock; his son Stephen Russell Holder and wife Andrea Renee Holder; his daughter Naomi Leigh Judkins and husband David Kenneth Judkins; grandchildren Jessica Ruth Judkins and partner Charles Robert Fugere, Victoria Joanne Judkins and partner Andrew Scott Lymburner, James Houston Johnson, Jada Taylor Johnson, and Mason James Holder; great-grandsons Daniel Ryan Fugere, Sterling Nicholas Lymburner, and Spencer Reid Lymburner; and sister-in-law Janet Mary Richards. Leonard was preceded in death by his parents Leonard and Frances Holder; and great-grandson Henry Joseph Fugere; and brother-in-law David Michael Richards. A private service of remembrance was held at 11:30 AM Tuesday, September 8, 2015, at Mount Adams Cemetery in Deer Isle, Maine.
