Obituary of Audrey Janet Carter

Blue Hill-Audrey J. Carter passed away peacefully at her home in Blue Hill on January 20, 2016. She was born on January 27, 1935 to Mr. and Mrs. Basil Turner. She spent most of her life in nursing. The last of her career was spent as an OB nurse working with Dr. Robert Walker. After retiring she spent her days building rock walls, flower gardening and bird watching. She also enjoyed writing poetry and decorating outside for Christmas. One of her most recent favorite things to do was to mow her lawn on her riding lawn mower. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren dearly. They all held a special place in her heart. She is survived by her children Edward and his wife Darlene of Sedgwick, Mary and her husband Chandler of Deer Isle and Teresa of Blue Hill, one sister Eva Allen, seven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband of 48 years Raymond "Mose" Carter, her parents and two brothers. Per her request there will be no services held.
