Obituary of Christine E Larrabee

Christine E. (Grindle) Larrabee, 87, passed away at her residence in Searsport June 20, 2016. She was born in Searsport, May 30, 1929, to Leslie and Christine (Irving) Grindle. Christine worked at Waldo Shoe, Penobscot Frozen Foods in Belfast as well as cooking at East Belfast school for many years. She also helped raise numerous children within her extended family. Christine's hobbies included knitting, crocheting and playing with her dog, Chico. She enjoyed spending time at the beach in her younger years, but the best time of her life was time spent with her family. She is predeceased by her parents; her spouse Ralph F. Larrabee Jr.; her sons Dale, Gerald and Mike Larrabee; her grandsons T.J., Jesse and Peter Wing. Christine is survived by her loving children, Les Larrabee Sr. and wife Dorothy and Bonnie Wing and husband Peter, all of Searsport; her sister Doris Kinney and husband David of Northport; her grandchildren, Dale, Scott, Les II, Michael and Chasity; several great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 1, at Grove Cemetery, Belfast.
