I want to extend my sympathies to Earl's family. I have warm memories of growing up with Earl as a friend. One of the things I hate about living away is I don't get to let people know in person that I care.

The Earl I knew was sitting at the counter in Village Variety, many years ago, eating his lunch - a burger and fries, I think. As we were chatting, a man who appeared to be poor and alone came in and sat beside Earl and asked for a glass of water. Earl asked him if he was hungry and he nodded. So Earl said, "I'll have another order of what I'm having. Give it to this man and put it on my tab." RIP, Earl.

To my aunt Marion, uncle Rodney, & cousins Jeanne, Debbie, & Bonnie: my thoughts and prayers are with you all, especially during this time of loss. 'Little' Earl still maintains space in my cache of memories, especially those times my brother and I spent playing hide & seek and other childhood games with our cousins on the old farm until a fire demolished our playground. I haven'tforgotten those great times! Earl's memory will live on through our own memories and with the help of family photographs. Bless you all. Love, 'Little' Gerald

What a wonderfully loving obituary. Reflects the man Earl was. I have a remembrance that I would like to share. My Dad dies very late one Saturday night. The next morning, before going to the funeral home, I was sitting in the diner and looked up across the room and saw Earl. With the saddest looked he just moved the word "sorry". His was one of many condolences I received but for some reason it is the one that I remember still almost 15 years later. Perhaps it was the look on his face that made me believe he was truly sorry. RIP kind soul.

Earl was a long time friend and will be greatly missed. Ken has good memories or Earl and their days of trucking and logging together . He was fun to socialize with and a great man to have in your corner when a ruckus started! Our condolences to his family and all who loved him. May God give all peace and grace at this time.
