Clint, you have been in my life since I was 14 yrs old. I considered you like a father then and after 41 yrs later I still consider you a father. We have had some great talks and LOTS of good times. My greatest time was when we were on the horses in the parade. This day was the greatest I was SO thrilled that you asked me. I will miss our talks and the love you always gave me. I love you and will miss you greatly. Love "Little" Margaret

Oh, Clint. What a guy. I hadn't been a CNA in over 30 years, and shared that with you my first day back on the job as one. When I got you into bed and all tucked in for the night, you said, "not too bad for a rookie". You gave me a fist pump, and that's what we did every time we met from there forward. I will miss you, your humor and your stories. There aren't many people left in this world like you, old school for sure. I'll remember you always. Love, Jen

Memories. They are a funny thing. No matter where you are or what you are doing they can instantly take you to another time and place. For me, 2 things always do this for me. The smell of fresh cut grass always takes me back to summer days at our grandparents house. Grampy would be mowing the lawn and the kids would have him hook the trailer up so that we could ride along, jump off and on, drag our feet in the grass and well just do what kids do. The other is the smell of hay. To this day I can not smell hay without being immediately transported through time to the old red barn where we spent so much time playing in the loft and learning the lessons of how to take care of the horses. These are things I will always hold on to. The memory of the last time I spoke with my grandfather in person. Nothing serious, just him telling stories like he always did. The moment I got to tell him about becoming a father to the bundle of joy growing in my wife's belly. My daughter was never able to meet him. But she will know of him for sure. Bedtime stories full of her great grandfather and his trusted steed Red. I do not pretend to know what comes next after this life. All I know is, we will be missed by the ones that truly love us. And I will certainly miss my grandfather.

My heart is broken without you dad. You struggled so hard for 3 days to breathe. It was so hard to watch. At least you aren’t suffering any longer and you are in a better place. Mom has been waiting for you. You was the best father a daughter could ever ask for. I have no regrets taking care of you and mom for the past 10 years and staying with both of you until you took your last breathe. I miss your daily morning calls just to say hi. I don’t think you ever missed a day except while I was on vacation. Love you dad, Cathy
