Obituary of James D. Morse

James Duaine Morse Sr., 67 of Brooklin, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday August 7, 2019. Jim was born in Belfast on July 4, 1952 to the late Clarence Sr., and Viola Morse. Jim was a hard-working man who loved being on the water fishing and lobstering. Although he enjoyed hunting, his most cherished time was spent with his wife, children and grandchildren. Jim was predeceased by his parents and his brothers, Clarence Morse Jr., and Norman Morse. Surviving are his loving wife of 48 years, Darlene Morse; his daughter Dr. Leslie Morse and her husband Dr. Ricardo Battaglino; his son James Morse Jr., and his wife Paige Cox Morse; his grandchildren, Ana Battaglino, Jacey Morse, Lilley Morse and Emily Viola Morse; his siblings, Bertha Hardison, Lester Morse and Harold Morse and a host of loving friends and neighbors. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday August 12, 2019 at the Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast, Maine. Friends and family may gather from 10:00 to 11:00 AM prior to the service. Interment will immediately follow in the Hillside Cemetery in Belmont.
