Obituary of Barbara Louise Light

Barbara Louise Light, 86 of Liberty, passed away on May 30, 2019 in Belfast. Barbara was born on July 31, 1932 in Waldoboro to the late Robert and Gladys Coffin. Although she worked out of the home, Barbara was a loving mom raising her six children. She played trumpet in high school and carried on that talent in later years. She enjoyed playing cribbage and dancing but most importantly she loved her grandchildren who would light up her world. Barbara was predeceased by her parents; her husband Jack Light; her sister Maxine Dehahn and her granddaughter Kassie Hall. Surviving are her children, Vickie Turner and her husband Spencer, Gary Light and his wife Annette, Brenda Lewis and her husband John “Scott”, Karen Hall, Jackie Emery and her husband Mark and Michael Light and his wife Gale; her brother Buster Coffin; her 12 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Barbara’s name to the New England Donor Services, 60 First Ave., Waltham, MA 02451. A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 am on June 29, 2019 at the Liberty Community Center, Pinnacle Rd., Liberty.
