Dear Patti and Donna Jean and families, I met your Mom and Dad when I moved to CT and lived across the street from this wonderful couple and their three little girls. We stayed friends through the years, my husband was in the insurance business as well and Don and Jay enjoyed each other's company. I was also at Bobbie and Andy's wedding where we celebrated at your house afterwards. I last saw your Mom the summer of 2017 as I was driving back from Acadia. I stopped and we had such a nice visit and a tour of the lovely community where she made her home. She was always so young at heart, interested and interesting! Good sense of humor, and called a spade-a spade!! I will miss her. Am sending my deepest sympathy to you all. She and your Dad were good people and you were lucky to have them. Warmly, Judy Roberts

Patti and family. I lived across the street from you in east Hartford back in 1960-62. Your mom and dad were good friends of mine and I have stayed in touch with your mom all these many years. Judy Roberts saw your mother’s obituary in the paper this morning and called to tell me. Please accept my sincere sympathy. Coincidentally today is my 57 th wedding anniversary. Your dad was our best man. Your mother made our wedding cake and we celebrated with you three girls at your house. Please know you are in my thoughts. With love, Bobbie doore

My sincerest sympathy on the death of Jean. This is a voice from the distant past. I so remember Jean and Don when both Don and I worked for Wm. A. Curtin Co in Hartford in the 1950's. Charlie Keefe inherited the company, sold the insurance agency to Don, and therein began his life long career. And for me a forever customer. Don always had a joke, Jean put up with it all. Happy to read that she had a good life. Sincerest bet wishes to her family. Rosemary McNerney, age 91 in Middletown, CT. w

I thank God for my sister Jean who along with my Mom and Dad took care of me in my early years. Being 15 years older than me she was a trailblazer in our family. She made my life a lot easier by being able to express herself and have adult guidelines accepted at an early age. Jean also demonstrated her willingness to go out of her way in helping others. She will be remembered for her Irish Spirit, her love of God and Family, and her willingness to serve. We love and miss you, your brother Jack
