Many years ago I was teaching at Walker School in Liberty, Maine. We had a beautiful forest and mountain behind the school. I wanted to make a nature trail for our students. I got permission from the landowners but still needed guidance. Someone gave me Dave's name and so it began. He came up many times and helped me blaze a wonderful nature trail. Another plus was that it tied into the George's Trail System. I learned more about trees and the forest system from Dave. He was a wonderful man. Many students from Walker School benefited from his kindness and expertise. Michelle Cross
