I've played basketball mostly against Mr. Bailey for these many years now and I could rarely stop him. His baby hook shot off the glass was money, I would push and foul he would score and smile. Many times when he would score -he could score from outside as well- I would say, "That's MR, Bailey to you!" Mike I'll continue to pray for you. Mike and I would talk about Bocce and or Petanque, I'm sorry I never got to play on your Bocce court. Morning Bball won't be the same without you. Lots of Love Dan.

I’ve known Mr. Bailey for a long time. He was an awesome, sweet man. At school he would always make me laugh when I was having a hard time or bad day. He was always smiling when ever I saw him in the hallways or at the Searsmont Fraternity Store. Such a great man gone too soon.. He will be missed. We will all miss you dearly.. Rest In Peace.

I don’t know what to say really. He helped me figure out what I wanted to do in life. I’d call and tell him what I had accomplished knowing he’d love to know. I can’t thank you enough Mr. Bailey. You will be missed greatly by a lot of people. My heart goes out to your family, friends, and students who you loved and who still love you.

Ill start by saying this , I wasn't always the best student in Mr. Bailey's class. I cant remember how many times i have quoted something he said to me. His lessons for some reason have stuck with me. He had this sign in his class room "live for the moment, not the destination." He had more patience for me then he should have. If his family gets to read this Please know that in some ways he helped make me who I am today. I haven't seen him sense graduation , I wish i could have thanked him.

A sad time indeed we hit it off back in high school I had taken literacy class with him being my teacher I wasn't in the class long I tested out after the first quarter my vocab was more than the average person but he had respect. In the 9 years on living in the same town as him whenever I went fishing I use to see him most of the time and we would chat about how everything was going fishing life etc. His face I will sorely miss when I go fishing in the future Mr Bailey I want to thank you for everything you have been in a part of my life. Words can't express enough what you did for me. You will never be forgotten. You have earned your wings rest in peace my irreplaceable teacher and mentor

Really wonderful guy... Dry humor, good conversations and always a bit of wit. My heartfelt condolences to his family. RIP Mike

Mike would still chuckle when I remind him of the short time in our life, as teens, that we were the same height, the same weight and had the same color hair. He went on to grow taller while I grew wider, and our hair changed colors in different ways. We lost touch but I will always see the glow and caring soul he had. My heart breaks for his family.
