Obituary of Donna Elaine Littlefield

Donna Elaine (Ward) Littlefield, 68, of Thorndike, passed away at Sebasticook Valley Hospital on Sunday, August 26, 2018. Donna was born January 27, 1950, the only child of Gerard and Beverly Ward. She grew up in Knox where her parents owned and operated the Hilltop Store. Donna attended local schools and, after graduating, worked as a CNA at Thayer Hospital until she married Earl Littlefield, to whom she has been married since July 15, 1972. Donna and Earl had two daughters, Heidi and Jennifer, and Donna loved being a stay-at-home mother to them. Donna is predeceased by her parents Gerard Ward and Beverly (Maxim) Woodbury, step-father Royal Woodbury, and grandparents. Donna is survived by her loving husband, Earl Littlefield, of Thorndike, ME; two daughters, Jennifer Barker and husband Travis currently of West Virginia; Heidi Littlefield and husband Marco Carvalho, of Haverhill, MA; siblings Steve Ward, of Troy, ME and Gary Pratt, of Unity, ME; grandchildren Ashley Thompson, Darren Thompson and Noah Carvalho; great-granddaughter Mia Thompson; son in law Michael Thompson, and cousins Gary Quimby, and Cindy Tremblay, whom Donna remained close with throughout her life, along with many other family members and friends. Donna was truly a one of a kind person with a great sense of humor who never took herself too seriously. She was kind, loving, and truly would have given you the last of anything that she had if you asked. She was an animal lover who took in many animals throughout her life. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends whom she loved deeply. Visiting hours will be held from 4pm to 6pm on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at Riposta Funeral Home located at 182 Waldo Ave. Belfast, Maine 04915. A funeral and reception will take place at 10am on Friday, August 31, 2018 at Freedom Congregational Church 45 Pleasant Street Freedom, Maine 04941 with burial to immediately follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly to the family.
