My Uncle Larry always made me feel special. He was a constant source of comfort and sustaining support in my life, just knowing he was my uncle. He helped take care of my mother (his sister) when she needed help the most. Growing up he would take me school shopping. I will always remember the fun we had when shopping together! He was soft spoken, kind, and when he smiled, it was one of the most sincere, genuine smiles I have ever known. It is so true that he was selfless and in the best ways possible. He helped so many people in his life, a truly wonderful man. Although it is so unfair to think he is gone from this earth forever, many of us were lucky to have had his presence in our lives for as long as we did. I love you Uncle Larry. Thank you for everything

Read the wonderful words below, is so hard to imagine life without the ones who touched our hearts so deeply . Met this family in a way that is uncommon, was a pleasure to meet you , sad we met under these circumstances . Never met your dad but I feel I got to know him through your kind spirits . Wishing you all peace in your hearts.

In the wee hours of July 2, 2018, the first man I loved and the first man to love me, bade his farewell to earthly life. My dad, Larry Hughes Tucker, was a good man. He was extremely generous, some would say to a fault. He gave his time, money, and love without expecting anything in return. He had a dry sense of humor that never failed to surprise and delight. He had his share of hardship but never said a bad word about anyone. He was not perfect but he was close enough. My dad raised my sister, Louise Tucker, and me in a time when single fathers were practically unheard of. It was his greatest gift to me. Like every parent, he made mistakes, but I know he did the best he could. What else can one ask of a parent? He taught me to be independent and to pay attention to things such as good credit and creating savings. The fact that only two of the three lessons stuck is not on him. The best way I know how to honor my father is to strive to be more like him. To be kind to everyone, to help those in need, to never ever utter a bad word about anyone (except when it comes to politicians), to show grace in all situations, and to be the best friend possible. What seemed easy to him won’t be so easy for me but I’m determined to do his memory justice. Dad is survived by his daughters, Louise Laurie Tucker and Leslie Tucker; his grandchildren, Cheryl Ann Moreno, Adam Dunn, Brendon Bass, and Christina Lydick; and his great-grandchildren, Haley Cranston, Izzy Moreno, Joe Moreno, and Olivia Lydick. He also leaves behind a sister, four nephews, a niece, numerous grand nieces and nephews, and many friends. I miss him.
