Obituary of Virginia Work

Virginia Work, 94, passed away at home with her family by her side on June 22, 2018. Born in Corinna Maine to the late Jeremiah and Ruby Sullivan; she grew up in Jackson. Virginia was recognized as a hard worker her whole life and was well known for her cooking and especially her delicious molasses cookies. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Floyd C. Work who passed away in 1993; her son Alan Work and her siblings, John Sullivan, Thomas Sullivan, Jeremiah Sullivan Jr., Marion Paradis and Ruby Stultz. Surviving are her loving children, Cecil Work and his wife Catherine and John Work and his wife Jennifer, Linda McGraw and her husband Roger; her grandchildren, Mona, Roger Jr., Jason, Ashley, Vannessa, Candace and Zachary; her great grandchildren, Jake, Benjamin and Alan and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Friends and family may visit at the Work’s residence at 73 Works Rd. on June 30, 2018 from 1-3 pm to celebrate Virginia.
