Obituary of Beverly C. Parker

LIBERTY On Saturday May 12, 2018, Beverly Clara Scates Parker of Liberty, Maine, passed on to be with her Lord. Beverly left a legacy of love and kindness for all, and her shining light will be greatly missed. Beverly was born in 1935 to Maurice and Evelyn Sherman Scates of Liberty. She graduated from Walker High School in Liberty. Beverly raised her children in Liberty and worked at the telephone company for 18 years. She met and married Francis X. Parker, the love of her life, and they enjoyed many happy years together camping, cruising and touring the country. They completed each other and blended two wonderful families into one making great memories along the way. Beverly was an amazing cook, fondly remembered for her biscuits, chocolate chip cookies and her legendary German chocolate cake. Beverly was predeceased by Frank and is survived by sister Shirley and husband Morris Smith of Liberty, brother Vernon and wife Patricia Scates of Westhampton, NY and sister Carolyn and husband Eugene Haskell of Fort Myers, FL (formerly of South China, ME) and her children Michael Parker of Florida, Twila and Crosby Damon of Windsor, Joanne Woodbury of Hallowell, Elizabeth and John Campbell of Chelsea, John Feeney III of Knox, Susan Parker of Topsham, Jane Parker of Vail, CO, April Hatch of Searsport and Greg and Jerrie Parker of Albion. Beverly also leaves many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. There will be a celebration of her life at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 18th at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Court Street, Belfast where Beverly and Frank were members. Those who wish may make donations in Beverly's memory to support Alzheimer's Association and St. Jude Children's Hospital -- two causes close to her heart. .
