Obituary of Harold Raymond

BELFAST HAROLD D. "WHITEY" RAYMOND, 80, passed away at his residence in Belfast on May 13, 2018. He was born July 24, 1937 in Portage, Maine. He lived in Belfast most of his life. Whitey was kind-hearted man who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He will be missed by his many family members and friends. Whitey proudly served an enlistment in the National Guard. During his employment years, he worked at the Waldo Shoe Company, the Maplewood Poultry Plant and the Penobscot Poultry Plant and spent many years processing fire wood. Whitey was always willing to help his friends and neighbors with any fire wood related jobs. He was predeceased by his wife June in 2008 and his siblings, Geneva, Elaine, Pete, Gerald, Norman and twin brother Darrell. Whitey is survived by his children, Randy Raymond and wife Katherine of Monroe, Juanita Lucas and husband Lionel of Kennebunk, Nathan Raymond of Trenton; grandchildren Mark, Katie, Jared, Chris, Danny, Chip; great-grandchildren Meghan, Carter, Mika and Frank; his brother Ronald, sisters Lorraine and Avis, sister-in-law Sue and his best friend Hunter, his dog. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Sunday May 20th at Smart Cemetery, Belfast. Whitey was passionate about donating blood. To honor him, please consider giving blood at your local blood drive.
