Obituary of William J. Kenyon

William J. Kenyon Sr., 89, passed away March 4, 2018 in Bangor. William was born June 10, 1928 in Chester, MA to the late Jesse and Eva Kenyon; the 13th of their 14 children. He was married to his loving wife Leona for 59 years and together they raised seven children on their small farm in Jackson. William was predeceased by his parents, his wife Leona R. Kenyon, his son William J. Kenyon Jr., and his grandchildren Peter Fox, Danny A. Dodge, James Paul Kenyon, David Paul Holland and Billy Hank Holland. Surviving are his children, Rita A. Kenyon, Reginald S. Kenyon and his wife Joyce, Irene E. Thibodeau, Clyde B. Kenyon and his wife Myra, Brad J. Kenyon and his wife Victoria, Sharlene L. Holland and her husband Jonathan and his daughter-in-law Portia Kenyon Parker; his very dear sister Florence York; his grandchildren Stephanie Gil, Crystal Shuler, Aaron Vaughn James Kenyon, Aaron J. Thibodeau, Gwen E. Rivers, Tamar M. Thibodeau, Renae Kenyon, Sarah Kenyon, Benjamin Kenyon, Jesse Holland and Shaunna Holland and his great grandchildren Noah Lorenzen, Thomas Lorenzen, Alyssa Bates, Trinity Shuler, Ariana Rivers, Janelle Rivers and Paul Steve Kenyon and a great great granddaughter Delilah Lorenzen. The family would like to acknowledge and give special thanks to all those at Ross Manor and Beacon Hospice who cared for William. To Gary Schwidder, William’s roommate for his kindness, friendship and patience. To William’s granddaughter, Tamar M. Thibodeau (AKA Sweetness) for her never-ending support, both financial and emotional. And to Valorie Reid, William’s niece, for her devotion, love, support and for being by William’s side both day and night. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 51 N. Searsport Road., Frankfort. Immediately following, friends and family may gather to share memories of William and Leona at the Jackson Community Center, Village Rd., Jackson.
