I was a caregiver to Al at the hospital, didn't know him long, but long enough to know he had lived and loved his whole life fully. I saw that many brought him cookies and felt bad about how we try to show love in ways like this even when futile. Then, one night, I went in to check on him and he was asleep with peanut butter cookies all through his bed, He had a little snack and knew he was loved. I will remember that image always of a very fine man.

So sorry for your loss my condolences to his family. When I was a child he was our neighbor we moved and we used to come and visit when we came back in summers he was a very sweet man. One of my favorite memories was him showing me his pet deer, as a kid I was sure he must of know Santa. Sincerely Cathy Kenney (Welch)

One the many things I am going to miss in not having Albert’s presence among us is his genuine interest in the people and world around him. If anyone shared with Albert a story or a thought that was current on his or her mind, one would see Albert’s eyes light up with shared interest. He would smile broadly and exclaim, “Is that right? Isn’t that SOMETHING!” He was the ultimate listener – one who truly empathized with the feelings and enthusiasm of his companions. I can’t adequately describe how much this man meant to me and how much he will be missed.
