Obituary of William Whitcomb
WILLIAM L. “WILD BILL” WHITCOMB, 72 of Monroe, passed away unexpectedly at his home on November 13, 2017. He was born at home in Brooks on July 21, 1945 to the late Orville and Rosaline (Burke) Whitcomb. He was a “Jack of all trades and master of none”. He would often say “I know a little about a lot”.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Nancy (Littlefield) Whitcomb; his daughters, Dawn and husband Lloyd Bryant, Billy Jo and husband Dale Blood, his sons, William, and Jacob and fiancé Amanda Farrar. He leaves behind 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren as well as his brothersVictor, Emery and wife Roberta, Michael and wife Janis, Howard and wife Laura and sister Rozita; in-laws Rodger and Sandra Littlefield Sr., brothers in law, Rodger Littlefield Jr. and Michael Littlefield; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; his dog Millie and special friends Scott Grant, Stanley Curtis, Ralph Bernosky, Jeff Clewley and many more. Maybe now he can “get around to it”.
Services will be held in the spring at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the care of Riposta Funeral Home, Belfast. Memories and condolences may be shared at www.ripostafh.com.
