Obituary of Peter Lielausis

Peter Lielausis, 72, of Lincolnville, died Saturday September 30, 2017 at the Sussman House in Rockport, Maine, after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. Born July 13, 1945 in Hamelm, Germany, he was the son of Alexander and Ilga Peders Lielausis. His family emigrated to Altadena, California when he was 9 years old. He worked as a screen printer and environmental field technician, bringing a wealth of inventive ideas for solving problems to his jobs. He retired at 66 and enjoyed cats, kayaking, and bicycling. Along with his family and friends, his 5 cats miss him deeply, but those who have already passed will surely be comforting him in heaven. He leaves behind his wife of nearly 29 years, Cathy; his sister Dace, and his son, Jeff. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
