Obituary of Sandrea Helene Raven

Unity ~ Sandrea Helene (Seibert) Raven went to meet her Lord on August 23, 2017 at Mount St. Joseph's Residence & Rehabilitation in Waterville. She was born June 25, 1940 to Arline (Gakeler) and William Seibert in Hartford, CT and raised in Coventry until she married Robert E. Raven in Manchester, CT on August 2, 1958. She was a homemaker and also worked in the past in the strawberry fields, a Pittsfield nursing home, beside her husband at their chicken farm in Burnham, at Ethan Allen and Pride Manufacturing. She was a member of the Deeper Life Assembly in Pittsfield and The Extension Club and Pittsfield Senior Center. Bob and her were avid campers, proud members of the Good Sam's Club, and made many friends at their camp sites. She enjoyed getting together with family & friends. She liked to bowl in the Coffee League and was known for her home-made macaroni & cheese. Sandy was predeceased by her parents and granddaughter, Jennifer Lynn Mitchell. She is survived by her husband, Robert Raven, a resident of Glen Ridge Nursing home in Augusta; a daughter, Patricia R. Smith and boyfriend, Thomas Armsworthy; son, Michael L. Raven and fiancée, Nancy Morrell and son, Timothy W. Raven, all of Unity. She has 6 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren. She also has one sister, Sheila and her husband, Christopher Chiarizio of Tolland CT; one brother, Dennis and wife, Maria Seibert of Sebring, FL, many special in-laws and cherished nieces & nephews. Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 30th 12-2 pm at Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast. The funeral service will be held at 2pm that day, followed by the burial at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Freedom and then gathering at Mike's home at 878 Waning Road in Unity. All are welcome.
