Obituary of Margaret Jane Whittier

Margaret J. Whittier, 93, passed away June 17, 2017 in Bangor. Margaret was born and raised in Wiscasset on May 4, 1924 to the late Leslie and Elizabeth Main. She was a florist for 27 years, operating Whittier’s Flower Shop. Margaret was predeceased by her loving husband Fred who passed away in 1989 and by her son-in-law John Nason. Surviving are her children, Donna Nason and Arthur Whittier; her granddaughter Melissa Rideout and her husband Bobby; her two special great granddaughters; her 3 siblings and several nieces and nephews. Private arrangements have been entrusted to Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast Maine.
