Obituary of Ellen M. Roberts

Ellen Marie Roberts, 80 left this world on June 2, 2017 at Sussman Hospice in Rockport, after a brief illness. During her short time there, she received the best of care. She was born in Blaine, to William E. Porter and Geneva Carmichael Porter, on May 2, 1937. She was predeceased by her husband Walter Roberts one day earlier. She was also predeceased by her bothers, Wallace, Clarence, Carroll, Guy, Glenn and Sidney; and her sisters Dorothy, Beulah, Marion and Elva. Ellen is survived by two siblings, Leila Cole of Houlton and Cecil Porter of Waterville. She also leaves behind her children Darlene Hineman and Tom of Vassalboro, Penny Ward of Swanville, Torie Patterson and wife Julie of Thorndike, two stepsons Hal Patterson and Sherry of Veazie, Richard Roberts and wife Marie and children of Waldo. She had several grandchildren, Aaron Reynolds, Jeremy Reynolds, Dustin Fowler, Andrew Fowler, Jackson Hineman, Nicole Lovely, Kelly Ward, Corey Ward and Anthony Ward, Matthew Patterson, Ashley Blad.. Great grandchildren, Hunter, Arianna, Kayleen, Brielle Reynolds, Fulton and Harper Fowler, Ronin and Olivia Patterson, Daniel Blad. She leaves behind a special sister in law Pansy Porter. Ellen was a very hard worker all throughout her life. She enjoyed her flower and vegetable gardens, doing projects around the house, we used to say, “her house was so clean we could eat off the floors, loved having family barbeques and spending holidays with her children. She will forever be in our hearts. Funeral services will be held June 12, 2017 11:00 a.m. at Brooks Pentecostal Church.
