Obituary of John S. Prescott

John S. Prescott, 76, of Brooks, passed away May 17, 2017. He was born in Searsport, Maine on August 21, 1940 to Charles H. and Esther (Paige) Prescott. John married Shirley Bailey and the couple raised their four children in Brooks. He was a truck driver who loved hunting, fishing and camping; but mainly he cherished spending time with his family. John was predeceased by his parents and three sisters: Sybil Lavway, Anna Pease and Sylvia Curtis. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Shirley; his children: Patricia Parker, Christy Finley, Ruth Sumrall and Steven Prescott; his grandchildren: Amanda Finley, Whitney Lee, Christy Sumrall and Selena Prescott; his great grandson Erick Alvarez; his brother Norman Prescott and his sister Helen Cook. Arrangements are under the care of Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast.
