Obituary of Dorothy M Duarte

Dorothy M. Duarte, 70, of Unity, passed away May 14, 2017 in Unity. Dorothy was born January 27, 1947 in Attleboro, Massachusetts to Vera V. (Nordberg) and Edward H. Cruickshank, Sr. Dorothy worked for 25 years at Sharmont Bank in Brockton, Mass. She and her husband, David, moved to Maine in 1993 and they ran a saw mill together for many years. She loved horses and enjoyed gardening and spending time with her husband. She was predeceased by her parents and two brothers; Edward Jr and Waldo. She leaves behind her husband of 43 years, David, of Unity; brothers: George Cruickshank and wife Susan of Brooks, Richard Cruickshank and wife Donna of Mansfield, MA, and Charles Cruickshank of Easton, MA; sisters: Carol Betzer and Deborah Bly and husband Richard, all of Easton, MA; sisters-in-law Jean McKearn and Judy Whynot and husband Scott, all of Bridgewater, MA; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A graveside service will take place at a later date at Furnace Village Cemetery in Easton, MA.
