Obituary of James S. Curtis

THORNDIKE JAMES S. CURTIS, 94 of Thorndike, passed away January 10, 2017 in Belfast. He was born in Jackson, Maine April 10, 1922 to Albert and Lettie (Hamlin) Curtis. He was a U.S. Army veteran. In his spare time, he enjoyed tending his vegetable gardens and hunting. He also enjoyed going to lunch with his special niece, Sandra Sargent. James is predeceased by both parents and several siblings. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Curtis; his son Dean Curtis of Thorndike; his daughter Melanie Milewski and husband Robert of Searsport; a brother Francis Curtis of Newington, CT; granddaughter Lindsey Curtis; numerous nieces and nephews. Spring interment will be at Center Cemetery in Thorndike. Arrangements are under the care of Riposta Funeral Home, Belfast.
