Obituary of Marian S. Buss

Marian S Buss 1925 to 2017 Marian Buss passed away on March 15, 2017 at St. Joseph Hospital in Bangor, Me. She was born in Craftsbury, Vt on May 11,1925. She married the love of her life, James Buss, at the end of WW ll. They enjoyed a marriage of 71 years. She was a feisty 92 year old that fought hard to live, but her heart was just not strong enough. (Much thanks to the emergency staff for their care and consideration). Marian lived a full and active life. She served in the United States Military as a Wave during WW ll and as a dependant traveling to Morocco, Cuba, Jamaica etc. She was a daughter, a sister, a wife and most importantly a mother. Her greatest accomplishment as a mother was to raise three wonderful children, that gave her great joy. She was an excellent student graduating from H.S. and then business college by the time she was 18. Marian also proved to be a great athlete having captained her alma mater’s Basketball Team and practicing for the Olympics swimming daily. Like Esther Williams, she too, could glide through the water with grace and ease. Marian is survived by her daughter Linda Davis and her sons Shawn (Kimberly, his wife) and Rob Davis; also, daughter, Julie Baerenrodt and son Eric, as well as other extended family members. She is predeceased by her husband, James and son, Skip. Marian will be buried at Augusta Veterans Cemetery with James. Arrangements are being made by Riposta Funeral Home in Belfast, Maine.
