Obituary of Ian David Berry

Ian D. Berry, 35, of Winterport, passed away March 2, 2017. Ian was born February 17, 1982. He had many great qualities but perhaps the most important was his compassion for other people. He was always there to help anyone who needed to be consoled or someone to just listen and understand. He was loved by many who knew this about him. Ian was simply a great guy who left this world much too soon. He was a smart, generous and gentle person who always wore a smile. He had a sharp wit and loved to laugh and joke. He was loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed. He leaves behind his mother, Ellen Maher and husband Peter; father, David Berry and step-mother Linda Berry; grandfather, Donald Berry and companion, Sophia Wirta; sister, Michele O’Connell and husband Bo; aunts: Joyce Paciolla and Linda Billings with husband Ed; step-sisters: Wendy Lambeth and husband Rob, Shannon Flewelling and husband Ron, and Brooke Powers; step-brother Torrey Weaver and fiancée Mandy Mayhew; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A private graveside service will be held this summer.
