Obituary of Wendall A. Story
WENDALL A. STORY, 76 of Monroe, died unexpectedly January 22, 2017 in Bangor. He was born in Old Town June 4, 1940 to Linwood and Ruby (Lugdon) Story. He served in the U.S. Army stationed at Loring Air Force Base where he met the love of his life, Madeline Kelley. They shared the love of the outdoors and enjoyed sharing that love with his family hunting, fishing and camping regularly.
He was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Madeline and his dog Zeke II. He is survived by his sons, Scott Story and wife Diana, Steven Story and wife Toni, all of Monroe; grandchildren Kelsi, Kyle, Matthew and his wife Danielle, Felicia and her fiancé Kevin; two great-grandchildren, Carter and Madelyn; a sister Sheila Vaillancourt and husband Gene of Old Town; two nephews, Travis and Benjamin and their families; two special friends, Charles Johnston and Chris Avery as well as the entire Kelley family.
Family and friends may call at Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast on Friday, January 27th from 3-5 p.m. where funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. with Fr. Stan officiating. Graveside services will be held in the spring at Kenney Cemetery in Brooks. Those who wish may make donations in Wendall’s memory to a charity of their choice.
