Kathy, I will miss you, your smile and laugh. I remember when Rachel and I came out to stay with you and Norman, we had such a great time, you were always so kind and giving. I pray you are dancing and seeing others who have gone before you.I pray I will get the chance to see you again when I leave this earth. Miss you, hugs from all of us❤

To Norman...Just wanted you to know that we are thinking of you at this difficult time. Although we never met your wife, we know how deeply you cared for her and how lovingly you spoke about her. We can only hope that your memories will give you some peace...in time. Carolyn and Phil

To my best and life long friend, even though we would sometimes go years without seeing each other when I heard from you we'd pick up as if we saw each other everyday. You were my first friend and I guess it stuck. We raised cane, rode horses every day all day for years. You let me drive your mothers car when I was 9 and wasnt supposed to. When I was in high school you would come get me to go to work trimming Christmas trees for a couple summers, on the horse farm another. We'd stay out until 1 am and then go to work at 6. I would tell you I was going to stay home that night and get some sleep, You would just nod your head. Then when you dropped me off after work you 'd say pick you up at 7 pm and I'd say okay and we'd do it again. When I would talk tabout you with someone at work I would tell them you are one of those loyal friends that even if I hadn't talked to you in ten years I know that if I ever was in trouble I could call and say can you come get me you would say sure be right there. That is the best way to describe your kind heart and certainty our friendship. You are never alone in life with a friend like you. Love you always and will miss knowing you are a phone call away.

To Kathy I don't like obituaries. They are too impersonal. Dates ,family members, residences work history sometimes but not often they actually tel you who the person really was This was you ; stubborn independent. probably the kindest and most compassionate person I have known or will know The most beautiful and deepest eyes. I can remember you and I mucking out horse stalls many a winter nights and then you getting up and going to work at the mill the next morning. I can remember you making lunches for me when I had to work out of town . I can remember going to a benefit dance for a friend and watching you dance ; gliding across the floor like a figure skater. You didn't have much tolerance for idle chatter. You loved westerns. I remember many a weekend just hanging and watching Gunsmoke,Tombstone and Lonesome Dove over and over. You loved animals probably more than some people You were fiercely loyal to your friends You were crazily practical. Above all you loved your kids and grandkids more than anything. You accepted my son Ben as your own and he loved you dearly. You were too many things to put into words And then you got sick . There were times when you probably should have died but somehow you would bounce back. You demonstrated a strength and resolve that amazed everyone including the medical staffs I know in my heart your love for Anna , Gina and the kids is what kept you going. The kids took time from their work and families to care for you. The last time they gave you three days; Anna took you home That was almost a year ago. I never thought I would have that much time left with you. The kids held a 60th birthday party for you You got to see your granddaughter at an awards ceremony. You made it to Christmas and got to see every one And then for your last hurrah Anna flew you to Austin Texas to see Willie Nelson live. That was just before New Years. She wheeled you in a wheelchair two blocks from the venue to the hotel I spent my last weekend with you the week before you passed. You were tired and I think you knew it was time although you would never let on. We watched you go. It was peaceful and I know you didn't suffer. The hospital and staff were amazing. I didn't get the chance to tell you everything I felt. I don't think people ever do I'm not religious. I'm a gambler. So there's a fifty fifty chance you'll either see this or you won't. I'm betting you will I love you Kate You were the love of my life but most of all my friend I'll miss you Norman
